New Delhi, December 23. 2024: The Embassy of Malaysia in New Delhi is pleased to announce that Indian travelers will now enjoy visa-free entry into Malaysia until December 31, 2026, under a special visa exemption initiative. This policy aims to strengthen ties between Malaysia and India while promoting tourism and cultural exchange.

Indian citizens planning to visit Malaysia during this period can travel without applying for a visa, provided they meet the following entry requirements:

Key Entry Requirements for Visa-Free Travel

1. Return or Onward Journey Ticket:

   • Travelers must possess confirmed tickets for their return to India or onward travel to another destination.

2. Hotel Bookings:

   • Valid hotel reservations for the duration of the stay in Malaysia are mandatory.

3. MDAC Arrival Card:

   • All visitors must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 72 hours prior to departure. This document ensures seamless entry procedures upon arrival.

4. Proof of Funds:

   • While there are no fixed regulations for proof of funds, travelers are strongly advised to carry a minimum of 500 USD (in cash or credit/debit cards). This measure ensures that visitors can support themselves during their stay.

• This visa exemption program is available for short-term visits only. Travelers intending to stay for longer periods or engage in employment must apply for the appropriate visa.
• Malaysian immigration authorities retain the right to deny entry if the above criteria are not met or in cases where travelers fail to comply with the country’s immigration policies.
