The UAE has announced visa-on-arrival options for Indian nationals, making travel easier and more accessible. According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), the update aims to enhance convenience for Indian tourists and further promote the UAE as a top destination for tourism and business.

With immediate effect, Indian nationals with a valid tourist visa from the United Kingdom or the European Union can now avail visa-on-arrival privileges when travelling to the UAE.

Earlier, Indian travellers could only access the UAE's visa-on-arrival service if they held a valid tourist or residence visa for the US or had a residence permit from the UK or the EU.

New 60-day visa at 250 dirhams
As part of this new update, Indian nationals who meet the visa criteria can also apply for a 60-day visa at a fee of 250 dirhams. This option provides a longer stay option for tourists and business visitors who wish to spend more time in the UAE.

Revised Visa Fees for Indian Travellers:
The UAE has also updated its visa fee structure for Indian nationals:

14-day entry visa**: Dh100 for Indian nationals and their family members with a valid visa, residence or green card from the U.S., U.K. or E.U.

-14-day visa extension: Dh250.

-60-day visa: Dh250.

Requirements for UAE Visa-on-Arrival:

Indian citizens must fulfil the following conditions to qualify for the visa-on-arrival service:

1. Passport Validity: Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the U.A.E. to avoid any problems at immigration.

2. Visa Validity: Your tourist visa for the U.K., E.U. or U.S. must also be valid for at least six months from your planned arrival date.

3. No Travel Restrictions: Make sure you have no prior travel bans or restrictions from the UAE or other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

4. Clean Immigration Record: It is important to have a clean immigration history, with no record of overstaying or violating visa rules in the UAE or any other country.

5. Direct Travel: Indian travellers must travel directly to the UAE from eligible countries where they have a valid tourist visa (such as the UK or EU).

- Extended visa eligibility: Indian citizens with a valid UK or EU tourist visa now qualify for a visa on arrival.

- Longer stay: The new 60-day visa can be extended for an additional 14 days if required.

- Reduced visa fee: The 14-day visa fee for Indian citizens has been reduced to 100 dirhams.
