Malaysia Airlines has partnered with Chinese tech company Huawei to better understand passenger preferences and analyse market trends, improving its customer-centric services.

Today, the national airline announced that Huawei Consumer Cloud Services will use its Petal Ads platform to provide advertising, marketing and traffic monetisation services to Malaysia Airlines. The partnership aims to help the airline expand its presence in the Chinese market.


Through this collaboration, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) will use Huawei's advertising platform to enhance its brand and services in China, improve customer experience and attract more Chinese passengers to choose Malaysia Airlines.


MAG CEO, Ahmad Lukman Mohd Azmi expressed excitement about the new opportunities this partnership will bring. He believes it will strengthen the airline's regional position and expand its global reach as a leading gateway to Asia.


"This partnership aims to improve our customer engagement by providing personalised experiences and innovative solutions tailored to the market's unique needs," he said. Huawei's Cloud Services Business Development Director, Vincent Wen, said the collaboration leverages Huawei's strong brand and marketing channels in China. He believes it will significantly enhance Malaysia Airlines' visibility and market presence among Chinese travellers. "This alliance combines technological strengths, market knowledge and innovation, creating exciting opportunities in the vibrant Chinese tourism sector," he said.
