Affordable direct flights between Europe and India: A new era

Affordable direct flights between Europe and India: A new era- International flights, flights to Europe, budget airlines, Cheap flights

Currently, most direct flights between Europe and India are offered by premium airlines, making them quite expensive. Wizz Air plans to change this by offering one-way tickets at an average price of €200 (approximately ₹18,000), with some fares as low as €100. This exciting change is set to benefit budget travellers, tourists and the Indian community in Europe.

Airbus A321XLR: Revolutionising long-haul travel

Wizz Air's strategy relies on the Airbus A321XLR, an advanced long-haul version of the A321 aircraft. These fuel-efficient aircraft can fly for up to 8.5 hours non-stop, making direct flights possible between many European cities and major Indian airports.

Wizz Air aims to connect "six to seven" European cities to major Indian destinations. Talks are ongoing with Indian authorities to ensure a seamless launch.

The airline is also considering direct flights between Abu Dhabi and India, dependent on regulatory approvals. Wizz Air hopes to launch these routes by the next financial year, but the final schedule will depend on receiving the necessary approvals from both Indian and European authorities. The airline is working closely with these bodies to ensure all requirements are met and expedite the launch process.
