The video starts with the staff member leaving her desk and asking a colleague to call security. The passenger records and asks for an explanation. The staff member responds, "I am politely informing you. I am calling security."
The staff member tells the passenger, "What you are trying to do is not allowed. You can't take the direct flight. If you want to understand the rules, you should go to the German embassy." The passenger continues to film the exchange.
When asked about her familiarity with travel rules, the passenger says, "No, I have been traveling for the past four years."
The video ends with the staff member calling security and asking the passenger to stay calm. "I have called security already. Ma'am, please wait. You will not be traveling," the staff member says.
The video has been viewed over 280,000 times. Lufthansa India responded to a user's tag, saying they are "investigating this case and are in contact with the people involved."
One user commented, "This happens when airlines overbook and use unethical methods to remove passengers to avoid getting caught for overbooking when everyone shows up."
Another user said, "She seems to think she's an immigration officer. Her job should be checking passports and visas, printing tickets, and handling baggage."
