Airbnb's Creative Guide to Bangkok: Exploring Hidden Gems and Cultural Treasures

Airbnb's Creative Guide to Bangkok: Exploring Hidden Gems and Cultural Treasures- Airbnb, Bangkok guide, Thai Culture,

Aligned with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s (BMA) vision to promote creative tourism and amplify Thailand’s cultural influence, Airbnb has collaborated with local tastemakers and Superhosts to curate a unique guide. Highlighting four vibrant neighborhoods—Talat Noi, Wang Doem, Talat Phlu, and Kudi Chin—the guide offers insider insights into Bangkok's rich tapestry.

From vibrant street art and bustling markets to exquisite architecture and delectable cuisine, Airbnb’s Creative Guide to Bangkok unveils the city's latest creative hotspots, authentic dining experiences, charming accommodations, and must-visit attractions. Available in English, Chinese, and Thai, the guide will be distributed across the Asia-Pacific region, including key travel hubs like China and India, generating excitement for the upcoming Songkran festival.

Recent data from Airbnb underscores Thailand's popularity as the most visited destination in Southeast Asia by Airbnb guests globally in 2023*. The capital city, Bangkok, retains its allure as the top destination in Thailand for both international and domestic travelers. Group travel among Airbnb guests in Thailand surged by almost 80 percent year-on-year, while solo travel increased by 52 percent during the same period.

Airbnb also observes a notable rise in visitors from China and India—two of Thailand’s major travel markets. Thailand ranked #1 in outbound search destinations for Airbnb guests from China during the recent winter season, and searches by Indian guests for the upcoming Holi and Easter long weekends surged by over 200 percent year-on-year.

Deputy Governor Sanon Wangsrangboon, representing the BMA, expressed enthusiasm about Airbnb's initiative, stating, “We're delighted to see Airbnb spotlighting Bangkok's lesser-known creative neighborhoods to global travelers, especially ahead of Thailand's renowned Songkran festival. Bangkok boasts a rich cultural heritage, with many hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Through initiatives like the 20 Creative Neighborhoods, launched in 2022, we aim to raise awareness of these diverse communities, each brimming with local culture and unique attractions. We hope Airbnb’s Creative Guide to Bangkok will inspire more visitors to explore these special neighborhoods, connect with locals, and uncover their treasures.”
