The government of the United Arab Emirates introduced a multiple-entry tourist visa with the validity of 5 years for all nationalities. The announcement was made by the Vice President and the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in a bid to promote tourism in the Gulf state on Monday, January 6th, 2020.
The scheme is inviting and strategically planned to attract tourists during the Dubai Expo 2020, an international trade fair starting 20 October of this year.
No wonder why Malaysia and Sri- Lanka previously proposed visa-on-arrival for many nationalities- perhaps to maintain the footfall of tourists.
The scheme would take effect in the first quarter of 2020, however, visa application fees have not been revealed yet.
